British Columbia is a predominantly rural province.  Within our rural regions, many communities are using their natural and cultural amenities to diversify their economies through tourism.

In 2010, BC held it's first rural tourism conference in Kamloops, hosted by Thompson Rivers University.  It was such a resounding success, that it will be held on an annual basis.  The Rural Tourism Conference provides a venue for people who are interested in rural tourism to come together, share experiences and to discuss  ideas to assist in tourism development in rural areas.

Thank you to sponsors and delegates for participating in the 2011 Conference: Broadening our horizons: Amenities, Regional Development and Collaboration (April 19-21, 2011 in 108 Mile House)
